Lucy & Mat’s wedding at the Stables in Matakana was my last one in New Zealand for a while before flying back to cold and grey London the very next day. I couldn’t have hoped for a more beautiful finish to my Auckland wedding season. We had an absolute stunner of a day and the two of them were such an awesome, happy and easy going couple to work with.
We started off the day at Omaha Beach where Lucy had rented an Air BnB for the girls to get ready in. I loved the bright and airy beach vibe of the house, which made a perfect backdrop for their getting ready photos.
My second shooter Mala met the boys at their accommodation in Matakana, so we could capture the whole day start to finish. Some ominous clouds were looming in the morning, but they all blew away just in time for their wonderful heartfelt wedding ceremony in the grounds of Matakana Country Park.
After wrangling all 16 bridal party members into one space for a few photos, we drove back to Omaha with just Lucy and Mat for their couple photos by the beach.
The evening was filled with plenty of good food and drink, beautiful speeches, laughter, and the odd tear, and they certainly know how to party! Have a look… ❤️
