Auckland Engagement Shoots
Whether you're recently engaged, travelling, or just want to celebrate your love, a couple photo shoot around Auckland’s beaches, the city or beautiful parks is a great way to get some beautiful photos of yourselves and capture new memories. My sessions are relaxed, creative and a bit adventurous, if you are up for it. We’ll have a chat about what kind of backdrop you would prefer beforehand, and I’m more than happy to help with picking the right location for your shoot. On the day, we go for a walk, have a laugh and capture the two of you being you. I’ll give you a little direction every now and then, so you’re not left wandering what to do, but it’s all very relaxed with no awkward posing going on.

WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
Story telling is at the heart of my work, and your gallery will feel like a beautiful, authentic story of a fun day out full of love and laughter in beautiful surroundings. We go for a walk, I give you a little direction, but it’s all very relaxed and not too posy. Even if you are a bit camera shy, don’t worry, most people are. The best thing you can do is not to worry too much and just enjoy it. People usually tell me afterwards that they barely noticed having their photos taken and enjoyed it much more than they thought - yes, even the guys! :). Location is also super important to me, and I love exploring and discovering new and unique backdrops for my clients.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
I suggest choosing an outfit that roughly fits into the smart casual categories of dress codes. But generally, anything goes! Your engagement photos are for you to enjoy and should reflect your style, so I suggest wearing an outfit that you love, that makes you feel good, and that you feel comfortable in. We’ll be walking around quite a bit, so comfy shoes are the way to go. If we’re doing your shoot on the beach, a pair jandals or other shoes that you can take of easily are best. If you’re worried about picking an outfit, please feel free to get in touch and I’ll be very happy to help.
WHAT IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF THE SHOOT?
Good question, as the Auckland weather can be a little unpredictable! If it rains on the day of your shoot, I’ll get in touch with you and we can decide together whether we’d like to postpone to another date (your deposit will be transferable), or if we want to go ahead anyway. If it’s just a bit showery, and depending on your location, it might still be fine to do the shoot, as photos with umbrellas in a bit of rain can be very beautiful. There’s no pressure, and I’m always happy to reschedule if you’d prefer waiting for a better weather day.
WHEN DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
I will send your photos to you in a password protected online gallery within 14 days of your shoot. You can then download them directly from the gallery in both high resolution and web size. You are welcome to make your own prints from your digital photos, or you can order print products from my online shop, which you can access from your gallery.
HOW to BOOK?
If you’d like to book a date in, I’d ask for a $100 deposit to keep your chosen date free for you. As mentioned above, this deposit is transferable to another date should it rain, or anything else unexpected happens.
