Relaxed and informal London engagement photography
Whether you're recently engaged, travelling, or just want to celebrate your love, an engagement photo shoot around London is a great way to get some beautiful photos of yourselves. Plus, perhaps you’ll get to know some areas of town that are a bit off the beaten track. My sessions are relaxed, fun, creative and a bit adventurous, if you are up for it. We’ll have a chat about what kind of location you would prefer, whether it’s iconic London landmarks, your local neighbourhood, or something a bit more hidden away.
On the day, we go for a walk, have a good natter and a laugh and capture the two of you being you. Maybe we’ll grab a coffee, a pint or an icecream on the way. I’ll give you a little direction so you don’t have to worry about what to do, but it’s all very relaxed, with no awkward posing going on.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your photography style?
Story telling is at the heart of my work, and your gallery will feel like a beautiful, authentic story of a fun day out full of love and happy vibes. I’m very relaxed, and I want you to have a brilliant time. We go for a walk, I give you a little direction and the rest just falls into place. Even if you are a bit camera shy, don’t worry, most people are, and it always works out just fine. Location is super important to me. I love architecture and getting creative with the huge variety of backgrounds this fab city has to offer.
What is the best location for a shoot?
London is massive and full of variety, which makes it such a great location for a photo shoot. Whether you like historic buildings, iconic London landmarks, industrial East London vibes, cute cobblestone muse streets or beautiful greenery, I can help you pick some great spots. I’ve been living in London for over 20 years, and have got to know it pretty well over this time. I’m still finding new hidden gems on my shoots all the time.
What should I wear?
Anything goes! Your engagement photos are for you to enjoy and should reflect your own style, so I suggest wearing an outfit that you love, that makes you feel good, and that you feel comfortable in. We’ll be walking around quite a bit, so comfy shoes are a must! I also recommend not bringing a big bag to your shoot, as we’ll be doing quite a few walking and other spontaneous shots, and luggage will get in the way. If you’re worried about picking an outfit, please feel free to get in touch and I’ll be very happy to help.
Can I change outfits during the shoot?
I usually don’t recommend a big outfit change, for the reasons outlined in the section above, as it would involve bringing luggage. if we’re in Central London, it can also be a bit tricky to find a private place to get changed. If you’d like to bring a different top / cardigan or similar, or another pair of shoes that can easily fit in your handbag, that’s totally fine of course. :)
What is the best time of day for our shoot?
This depends a bit on the time of year and location. The best time for light is usually 2-3 hours before sunset, especially during the height of summer. In the autumn, winter and early spring, pretty much anytime during daylight hours is good, as the sun is lower in the sky and the light much softer. We’ll have a chat before your shoot to see what works best.
What if it rains on the day of the shoot?
Good question, as the British weather can be a little unpredictable! If it rains on the day of your shoot, I’ll get in touch with you and we can decide together whether we’d like to postpone to another date (your deposit will be transferable), or if we want to go ahead anyway. If it’s just a bit showery, and depending on your location, it might still be fine to do the shoot.
How and when do we receive our photos?
I will send your photos to you in a password protected online gallery within 21 days of your shoot. You can then download them directly from the gallery in both high resolution and web size. You are welcome to make your own prints from your digital photos, or you can order print products from my online shop, which you can access from your gallery.
How do we book?
If you’d like to book a date in, I’d ask for a £100 deposit to keep your chosen date free for you. As mentioned above, this deposit is transferable to another date should it rain, or anything else unexpected happens. I’d also ask you to please agree to my standard terms and conditions, which will be attached to your invoice.
