Alicia and Stuart’s gorgeous and informal tea party wedding at Albert House in Auckland was a total treat to photograph. There was no fuss - just a wonderful, happy gathering of their family and friends to witness them exchange their vows on a glorious autumn morning, followed by lots of yummy treats, and of course photos around the grounds.

Alicia kept her outfit low-key and comfy with a short wedding dress and white converse trainers, and a gorgeous subtle vintage vibe. She also knitted some beautiful shawls for her and her bridesmaid Lizzie, which we didn’t need in the end, as it was such a warm day.

I always love shooting at Alberton House. It’s such a unique setting, has beautiful gardens and lots of interesting hidden away nooks and crannies to explore and use as backdrops. The energy between Alicia and Stuart was wonderful to capture - the two of them couldn’t keep a straight face all morning - giggling and teasing each other, and being super chuffed at finally being married. I loved their style - a perfect Scottish-Kiwi fusion wedding.

I had photographed Alicia’s bridesmaid’s wedding the year before, and it’s always so nice to see previous clients at a wedding, especially when they are about to have their first baby!
