Lena & Nick's wedding at Castaways Resort in Waiuku, Auckland

Lena and Nick’s small Bavarian / Kiwi fusion wedding at Castaways Resort in Waiuku was such treasure. Lena booked me for three hours to just capture the ceremony and a few photos before and after, and kept telling me how it was all just going to be a very low key, and a no fuss event. Well, maybe so! But what a stunner of a day it turned out to be.

I adored Lena’s simple but totally gorgeous water colour dress and colourful hair piece, and we were granted with the most glorious golden hour light for their couple photos. I got very excited indeed!

The happy, relaxed and loved-up vibes between the two of them was so wonderful to capture. I loved their story too. Lena came to New Zealand as an exchange student from Germany a few years ago and stayed with Nick’s family, and the two of them fell in love. How gorgeous is that!
