My Approach
I’ve been a full-time wedding photographer for the last 9 years, so weddings are what I know, love and do best! I absolutely adore nature, architecture, quirky locations and natural light, and am very much inspired by my surroundings in my work.
My clients usually want to spend as much time as possible with their guests, and I take a documentary approach for much of the day, observing and capturing all that’s going on - that’s the connection between people, the happy laughs (and tears), the silly moments, the big important moments of course, and all those beautiful details you have chosen so carefully. I want you to be able to look back at your photos and remember exactly what it felt like.
When it comes to your couple photos, I will have scouted out the best locations for these already, so we can just go for a walk, have a laugh and create some magic. I know a lot of couples are a bit apprehensive about this but, but it’s all very easy, relaxed and usually fun.
I’m a bit of an organiser and prepare meticulously for every wedding I photograph. I visit your venue and locations beforehand and work with your wedding coordinator on the day to make sure I know exactly what’s happening when. I’ll have made plans for where we’ll take your bridal photos and have a plan B (and C!) up my sleeve if it rains or something else unexpected happens.
Crucially, it's your day, and I want you to enjoy it! I want to know what's most important to you, so I can capture it in a way that's personal and meaningful to you. I really want you to enjoy your wedding day, including having your photos taken, and communication is hugely important to me. We’ll go through all the details before your wedding day, make sure all the timings work, and that you are happy with everything we are doing.
