Nunzia and Marco's winter wedding at Chelsea Old Town Hall
It’s not often that I shoot a wedding in London on 6th January. But the chilly dark winter weather didn’t matter one bit on Nunzia and Marco’s wedding day at Chelsea Old Town Hall. The beautiful Cadogan Suite was brightly lit and filled with gorgeous fresh flowers by Jemima in the Woods. Most of Nunzia and Marco’s family had travelled over from Italy and there was a great celebratory mood in the room with people catching up and getting together after along time apart.
Their wedding ceremony was partially held by a friend in Italian - and I had no idea what was being said, but I very much enjoyed capturing the happy laughs and occasional tear. Later on, they exchanged their legal marriage vows facilitated by one of the Chelsea registrars. It was a little drizzly out, but not too bad, and we were able to have a lovely confetti exit on the front steps, followed by a few family photos and then a nice walk around some of my favourite Chelsea spots for Marco and Nunzia’s couple photos. We even found some early cherry blossoms out in a little park. I joined them for a bit at the local branch of Wine Workshop and Kitchen for drinks and celebrations with their guests.
