Iona & James's micro wedding at Wandsworth Town Hall

Iona and James were supposed to have a big wedding on a farm in Surrey in September 2020, but we all know how that story goes… They were still determined to get married this year despite everything, and decided to just go for it with their closest family in their local borough at Wandsworth Town Hall.

It was a perfect early September day, still warm but with a little hint of autumn in the air. I have to admit, it is strange photographing guests during the ceremony with their masks on, as you can’t really see people’s facial expressions! But that was all made up for with Iona and Jame's happy and excited smiles and the general joyous vibe in the room.

We had plenty of confetti - enough petals for a huge celebration, dried by Iona’s mum from her garden in Scotland (what a lovely personal touch!) - so we did the confetti exit not once, but twice!.The courtyard at Wandsworth Town Hall looked beautiful and was very quite quiet and perfect for a few socially distanced family photos.

We then whizzed over to a park for photos of just the two of them, before a small family dinner at Farmacy in Notting Hill. I must remember to have brunch there sometime soon, as the vegan menu looks absolutely amazing!
