Kirsten & Rob's wedding at Bethnal Green Town Hall Hotel
Kirsten and Rob’s intimate wedding with just 15 guests in Bethnal Green is a perfect example of how gorgeous and special a micro wedding can be. So often, couples get in touch with me saying “it’s just a very small low key affair, nothing fancy” but honestly, just because you are having a small wedding doesn’t mean it’s any less special or worthy of epic beautiful photographs. I absolutely adored capturing these two’s big day back in April. They chose a brilliant venue that suited their style and taste, so it didn’t require any extra decorations or fuss, as it perfectly suited them just as it was.
As a photographer who’s quite obsessed with unique interiors, plants and symmetry, Bethnal Green Town Hall Hotel is basically a dream. Kirsten and Rob had stayed at the hotel the night before, and I met them in their room for some photos on the terrace. We then went for a walk around the neighbourhood for photos. As is often the case in London, we managed to get in quite a variety of backdrops in just half an hour of walking around a couple of blocks.
They were joined by their close family for the ceremony in the beautiful old Council Chamber and we took a few more photos around the build before lunch. I was with them for just three hours, but it felt like a really complete day.
And a few kind words from Kirsten and Rob:
“We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our big day. Diana was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was very warm and fit right in to the day, made it very easy for us and the results were outstanding. She has an incredible eye for both beautiful and quirky urban shots that we've never seen anywhere before! We received a sneak peak very quickly, and the full album within great time. Thank you again Diana!”
