Mandi & Gavin's (+doggies) elopement at the Mandrake Hotel London

In August last year I had the pleasure of capturing Mandi and Gavin’s gorgeous intimate London elopement at the quirky Mandrake Hotel in Fitzrovia. What a fantastic and unique spot for a wedding ceremony. Mandi and Gavin exchanged their personal vows in the tiny Jurema Winter Garden, facilitated beautifully by celebrant Fiona.

If there’s one trend of 2023 that I have much enjoyed, it’s the presence of more pets at weddings. So much fun! I’m a cat lady myself (although I love dogs too) and sadly cats tend to freak out in new environments, so aren’t really suited to take along to a special occasion. But a lot of dogs seem to love being there, including the dressing up. :) Mandi and Gavi’s sweet doggies certainly looked the part and were so excited but well behaved.

We took them for a little walk along the streets for photos to start with and then left them in save hands of Gavin’s dad, while we took more photos. I absolutely loved their style and shooting in this incredible and unusual space was a real creative treat.
